About conference
The pandemic brought not only many bitter losses, but also produced new means and forms of work and communication. It gave us a fresh perspective on the value of maintaining contacts both between colleagues and at the institutional level and showed the importance of preserving and developing scientific schools, research groups, and collectives
The Nationwide Scientific Conference "Medieval & Early Modern Studies in Russia" (27-29 June 2022) is conceived as a regular event intended to exhibit current trends and scientific schools of research in Russian medieval studies and to create a platform for presenting individual and collective research projects.
The conference is aimed at specialists in the Western European Middle Ages and Early Modern times, but we will be glad to see the participation of colleagues studying other regions.
The conference will feature papers and presentations on traditional research fields of Russian medieval studies: social, economic, political, and institutional history, cultural history, intellectual and gender history, anthropology, legal history, the history of books, special and auxiliary historical disciplines, and a wide range of topics and problems.
